Commissioned to provide an original design concept

Focusing on a contemporary aesthetic that complements Hartmann’s emphasis on natural wood and craftsmanship, we designed a chair that features an inviting upholstered body set against an elegant wood spine.

A key design signature is the distinctively shaped top element, which functions not as a traditional headrest but as an aesthetic punctuation mark. This sculpted form is strategically positioned to frame the user's back and emphasize the chair's striking profile, providing a comfortable rest point for the shoulders while showcasing the dynamic interplay between the upholstered core and the refined wood spine.
